I just don't think people are taking the fine art of quilling seriously anymore.
Quilling has always stood for elegant hands, undeniable class, and leisure time. Barnyard buddies, indeed.

Oh, there is so much more out there than just "Barnyard Buddies"; some of these "cute' things are just designed to get people interested, once they are hooked there is no end to what they will attempt to quill. Check out the North American Quilling Guild web site www.naqg.org or even mine, www.Whimsiquills.com In my blog www. quillingwithwhimsiquills.com i discuss and show some work of very serious quillers as well as the "fun" stuff. Those of us who quill don't want to see this beautiful art form die out, so we are happy to lure new quillers into our midst. Barnyard buddies can help, they don't scare people away.
